Brown Trout:

The Brown Trout presently supplied, are welsh in origin, the original Brood stock were sourced from the upper waters of the river Towy system, in Carmarthenshire.

They are renowned for their fighting quality, being reared in semi-natural; gravel bottomed rearing ponds making ideal stock fish for river systems.

As from 2015, Environment Agency policy dictates that only Triploid (sterile) Trout may be stocked into river systems, the hatchery will be supplying Welsh Triploids produced from our own Brood stock.

Brown trout are supplied from 9" upwards, depending on your personal requirements.
Larger fish are available by the lb, an average 12" Brown Trout is approximately 1lb in weight. , minimum order 50 Trout per delivery
